Daffy Duck.

Seriously, this is Bryan Murray. I guess he's saying he's the one who decided to get Perry and Getzlaf. Looks like he lost his wiz-gift when he left for Ottawa

I think taht Patrick Caisse has nothing to do with this site. He's (Patrick Caisse) working for Le Journal de Montréal / Canoe.

The article is saying that the source is saying he has been hired. Aurait été usually doesn't work right when directly translated into english, i think.

I hope he's here for player development. I thought when PG said that timmins was here to stay, there might have been more behind it. Maybe he's only here to stay as head scout. I wouldn't mind seeing him focus on scouting and letting someone else (better) at player development.

'Would have' or 'seems that' work just fine.

Outside of Deschamps and Cousineau, I'm not sure how many picks were 'his' (since I know he scouts the Q).

But the idea of him being behind the Bryce Swan selection makes me shrug. Yuck.

That would be a nice hiring. Even if it means Timmins focuses more on purely scouting, and not as much developing.

If the Habs would hire him I would be more than happy. As Cheney likes players with size and grit and he's said more than a few times that the LHJMQ needed to shape up and get better at developing players. I always thought he would have made a solid GM for the Nordiques if they came back as he was part of that organization at some point.

Good draft picks in 1st round, then it's so-so.

Cheney drafts 1st round players.
Timmins does the rest

But I think it could be a VERY good thing for Quebecers because he follows QHJML alot.

No problem with that unless Timmins avoid going for Europeans and guys from US Colleges.

Anaheim has asked about Blues winger David Perron. The Ducks have always loved Perron going back to last June. Their chief scout Alain Cheney badly wanted Perron at the draft.
I want this guy.

Can anyone confirm the signing or not? Would have doesn't make any sense and if he is hired I would think asst GM would be his title.

I've been following this site for a while, and it's also the conclusion I've came up with. They pretend they have a load of sources, while you could clearly see that it's one guy looking through a bunch of other rumor sites and making them his own.

Yet he chose Logan McMillan 19th overall, a guy from the same league who's now a massive bust.

Really shows how much he wanted him and what he really thought of him.

Maybe he really wanted Perron but the GM or someone else cockblocked him? He's not the only one that takes decisions.

I saw Alain Chainey today, and he didn't look like a man all excited with a new job. He had a nasty hook on his drives. Fortunately, he was only at the driving range. But that probably meant he had the hook on the course, and decided to go work on it at the range afterwards.

His Stanley Cup ring is huge. I held the thing once... it's insane.

I talked to Alain Chainey today... only not about hockey. He was playing golf with Simon Gagné's father. Let's start rumors!!

Edit: Wait, it wasn't Gagné's father at all... it's tomorrow that they're playing together. Who was it then... forget the rumors.

Which I'd find extremely weird, since the Q is his league to scout.
