Fav Wild moment/how I became a fan: Grew up in Michigan so was always a Red Wing fan and when we moved back to Minnesota in 2000, I wanted to be more involved with a professional sport team. 10 years later (7 of which I've been out of the state), I finally have my season tickets and I finally have enough of grip on the teams doings to consider myself an avid fan

Fav Wild moment/how I became a fan: I have been living in Minnesota my whole life, but I wasn't very much into it until about last year. I remember 02/03 playoff run, but that's really about it. I really got into it last year and now I'm a fanatic.

I saw them only once...back at the Foxfire in 1999 opening up for Death Cab for Cutie. My old drum teacher recommended I check them out because of Dave King...and they completely blew my mind. Picked up their first album at the show and a sample CD they were on, and I was hooked. Picked up the other two albums when they came out but I didn't turn 21 until 2004, so I never did get a chance to see them since then, and I'm always just missing the reunion shows.
I did sign up for their Twitter feed but the last post was four months ago so who knows
The only time I've ever seen Love-cars was a few years ago when they "opened" for Halloween, Alaska. Either way, Dave King is an amazing drummer (especially with Happy Apple) and has a great sense of humor.
It was, I had never heard of Death Cab until five years later though! I just remember watching them and saying "yeah they sound like every other soft indie band" except the bassist was so stoned out of his mind he was just staring at the brick wall. Now of course I love Death Cab...
One of my all time favorites was when James Diers and Dave King did a duet on Valentine's Day at the Bryant Lake Bowl...Diers had his Telecaster and did vocals, Dave was on piano...and they did a mix of covers and a couple Love Cars songs. Of course, Dave KILLED it, what an amazing musician.
Also got to see Dave with 12 Rods before they split up, they did a show at Edina High School (where I went) for barely 30 people. Really strange, but they were great and chatted with us for a good long while afterwards.
But yeah, as a drummer, Dave is one of my top five influences all time...even if I can't get into Happy Apple at all.

Fav Wild moment/how I became a fan: Well, I'm a hockey fan through and through, so when the Wild were announced as an expansion franchise I was instantly a fan... but the first Wild game I went to (intentionally) was Dec 17th, 2000 vs the Stars. Had to be there to truly open the new era against the team that ripped out my heart when they had moved 7yrs earlier! The Wild TROUNCED the Stars 6-0!!!!!

Origin of screen name: Used it in early video game RPG's. Since I am already a fan of Raptors (birds of prey) and they all have talons... it seemed to fit the mid-evil fantasy realm. Yeah, I know... I can be a nerd.

Fav Wild moment/how I became a fan: I watched a lot of hockey when I was a kid with my father, but over the years I stopped.. especially when the North Stars left, I was young but I still remember watching games when I was like 4. I always caught a few wild games here and there from 2000-2007 but never really payed too much attention, also during that time I went through a phase where I stopped paying attention to sports, and in 2007 for my birthday my friend bought me NHL for Xbox and that resparked my interest in hockey, now I'm a full blown Wild fan. I went to my first game this past season and especially never looked back from then, I love the Wild.
