I don't see the point of season tickets unless you live close or go to 25+ games a year... I just go online and get my ranger-islander ranger-devil tickets about 5 times a year and get a good price... otherwise cablevision is fine for me!!

Nothing beats going to a Rangers game live. TV is crap compared to that.
Live 30 minutes away and go to about 30+ games a season.
Give them a call, i'm sure there is some sort of list they can put you on if there are tickets in those areas.
thanks i did like 2 weeks ago they said if any come avaible ill be one of the first to get a call but im just worried that i might have to wait a couple of years

your other option is to split a pair in the 100s/200s with a few other people. that way you can get in now and only be on the hook for 1/4 of the subscription (if you can get 3 other people.) then you will have a great shot of moving back to 300s/400s the following year, and you can add a couple extra tickets to the account if you want more than 1/4 season. you kind of have to pay your dues to get in the door these days. there's a shot you can get lucky and get the cheaper seats to start, but it has been difficult recently.
Got an interesting call today from Minnesota Wild. I used to have season tickets when I lived there and they still had my cell#. They called to let me know that lower level season tickets were available -- nothing upstairs but they said this was one of the first times they have had availability in the lower bowl. Hmmm...sound familliar?
Finalized my season tickets today!!! 2 tix in section 215 row e, split with my cousin!!! Alot of dough but really pumped about it. Your not gonna find anything in 300s or 400s if your a new subscriber so I had to go there, wasnt waiting longer. But its the smarter move, and ill say why: 1) Next year 1500 seats in the "upper bowl" which is the 300s and 400s wont be able to be used in beginning of season so those season ticket holders are gonna be moved. 2) the lower bowl which is my seats will be completed for the next season. 3) when the garden is completely revamped, people sitting in the upper 300s and 400s will not be able to see the jumbo tron and their view of the arena will be blocked by those stupid bridges. Im right behind where the rangers shoot twice, which was an important factor to me. I like being on the side of the arena where the blueshirts shoot twice. If the chance to move up a little or wherever to cheaper seats in the next few years is available, then maybe ill do it. But i got my name on a season subscription before the team gets real good and before the renovation relocation business gets nuts. Im very happy.

Question... Did a Garden ticket Rep confirm what you mentioned above about the sky bridges blocking the view of the Gardenvision screen or did you get that from the conversation we were having in the Renovations thread on this forum?
My suspicion based on the renderings was that the view would be blocked.

i know someone who works for the nyr. sky bridges will block the view of the screen. on the side of the bridges will be large flat screens and small scoreboards for the other patrons to see
Yea the guy confirmed that the bridges are going to block the views, but was like 'well theres going to be tv's on the bridges." But thats not the point. From some seats, it could block the retired jerseys and the Stanley cup banners. I know it seems like minor things, but it really makes a difference wen your sitting in the garden now and look up and see everything. That famous roof and that 94 banner, being at messier night and seeing the number raised to the rafters. Thats all going to be lost for some people.
I got an 11 game plan in 301 last year. I had been on the list for half seasons for approximately 2 summers before that.
I took the 11 game plan for financial reasons. I was offered a half season in the corner of the 400's but they'd only sell me 3 seats together. I was already buying the pair myself so I wasn't going to buy a third seat for no reason to sit upstairs.
301 wasn't as bad as I thought but I'm adamant about sitting center ice. Same with baseball, I despise sitting down the lines. Give me upper deck behind home plate.
Haven't spoken to anyone yet this summer. I'll see what the deal is when they give me a call. I'm hoping to be able to move atleast slightly to a better seat.

do you get any perks with an 11 pack plan or half season like do u have any rights to playoff seats

Half season you get playoff rights. 11 game you get nothing.
I wanted half seasons for the playoff rights but financially it didn't make sense for me.
As the season wore on, I realized I'd only be able to afford to go to 1 or 2 playoff games even with the rights because the way they jack the price of your own damn seat up in the playoffs is ridiculous.
I would've been able to afford maybe one or two first round games. Probably would've went to one and hoped they made it further and tried to save some money.
Why? They have huge TVs and the scoreboard on the bridge for them to see.
Again, do you sit in the last 10 rows of the 400's or not? I do...
It's easy to write it off and say it isn't an issue when you don't personally have to deal with it.... Some people enjoy the view of Gardenvision and the retired jerseys and Stanley Cup banners in the rafters....
I haven't pulled the trigger yet on renewal yet, but the invoice is still in my account. My rep did think that with the non-renewals and my senority, that I should not have a problem moving up....If anyone is interested in season tickets, let me know!
You might want to count again... There's more than 7 currently... I'm Row E and there are 3 rows of seats behind me IIRC.... And as the poster below pointed out the renovations will create a lower and upper bowl so there will be a continuous row of seats after the renovations are done. Garden Rep is saying at least 10 rows of seats will have their view of Gardenvision obstructed....
