If only Kessel had a Joe Thornton to get him to wherever Cheechoo was at.

Were you assuming Kovalchuk would want to sign in TO? Why would he? On top of being a poor team it's also a huge market and he has already said he wasn't interested in the spotlight.

He also said he loved it in Atlanta.

You're right its settled then. This is all one big lie. The Leafs will get Kovalchuk, Marleau and Ryan. Kadri will score at least 70 points next year (behind the great Tyler Bozak of coarse) and the Leafs will win the cup.

Did it ever cross your mind that this stuff is unlikely?

Maybe he did love ATL and still does. But they weren't winning.

His fat ass could have skated and such, he had shoulder surgery. Ask bruins fans most of them think he is a lazy ****. He is ripped..... like a bag of milk.

you forgot mono, and that the shoulder surgery cost him a summer of upper body training and summer camp

Not bashing Kessel, just a simple question.

Where is the line between elite and very good?

I have a suspicion he will land in Florida or back with Atlanta. Neither are contenders, but I see him going for cash (even if neither team really has any, they'll bite the hook).
