Same here. He and Kane can import So.Buf. to Chi-town all they want for that sort of return.

Definitely not from the Flyers.

To Florida:
-Jeff Carter
-Ryan Parent
-2010 3rd

To Philadelphia:
-Nathan Horton
-Evgeny Dadonov
-2010 first round pick

Unless by Dadonov you meant Markstrom, then definitely not from Philadelphia. It's a nice package (probably just a little short), but it doesn't really solve much for us.

To Columbus:
-Matt Carle
-Patrick Maroon

To Philadelphia:
-Jan Hejda
-Nikita Filatov

I guess it could work, but why?
youre crazy not giving you the third horton and markstrom for carter and a little more. easily the dumbest thing ive heard.

From a Buffalo POV.....

I'd take it in a heartbeat. Byfuglin (sp?) addresses one of our biggest needs: size with grizzle. I have said over and over that Buffalo has 4 smurfs on the team (Kennedy, Ennis, Roy and Gerbe). We need to pick 2 and trade the other 2. If we could get a deal done (and I doubt Chicago does this straight up for Buff, as it's going to cost Buffalo at least a pick too) bringing in size and trading one of the smurfs, we have to do it.

Kennedy has potential, so I can see why Chicago would want him. Rumours of Burke in Toronto liking his game too, why he was on World team.

I'd love to have Byfuglin on the Sabres....

Kris Versteeg ($3.083M cap hit, signed through '11-'12)

Oscar Moller ($875K cap hit, signed through next season)

Kings get a young versatile forward with a ring, 'Hawks save dough and get a player who, in many ways, resembles a younger Versteeg.
No chance we'd deal Buff for a "spunky energy forward" like Kennedy. Guys like that are a dime a dozen and definitely shouldn't cost us one of our best trading chips.

This trade is awful. Moller hasn't done much of anything at the NHL level, but Versteeg was a Calder finalist with 44 points in the regular season and 14 points in the POs while playing on our 3rd line. Both players have potential written all over them, but Versteeg is actually living up to his.

Well, that's because Moller is still basically a prospect. He has all of the skill and heart to be successful, he just needs more weight and strength, much of which will materialize with time.

Saying the value is bad from a Hawks standpoint is fine, but wildly throwing around conjecture regarding a different teams prospects is another matter.

I guess when you can't make quality proposals, you go for quantity of proposals.

Flyers get their goalie, and Habs get a big winger with big upside.

Jan Hejda ($2M cap hit, signed through next season)
Nikita Filatov ($2.196M cap hit, signed through '11-'12)

Matt Carle ($3.438M cap hit, signed through '11-'12)

Montreal / Philly deal

Pierre Gauthier says: No. Why would we trade our future franchise goaltender for an unproven winger?

Paul Holmgren says: No. Why would we trade our future franchise Winger for an unproven goaltender?

Philly / Columbus deal[/B]

Paul Holmgren: Where do I sign?!?

Scott Howson: WHY?! Oh wait Matt Carle you say?

Stop making Flyers fans look bad dude. You are ****ing crazy.
He was making you look sane, because Columbus wouldn't do that.

The Jackets - Flyers proposal is gawd awful, I see that now, but there's no need to make some off-the-cuff remark - it certainly doesn't add anything to the thread.

Well duh...that was the point of my post. Why WOULDN'T Philly do that deal? Columbus wouldn't even consider it, it's really not even close.
