What's weird about the GM not wanting that player.

He's actually not a scout . He's Ducks Director of Player Development.

Timmins is our director of development.

It's just a cute name to say "chief scout"

I don't know how many times a news or rumour came out on my tweetdeck and a few minutes later, it was part of one of his updates with no credit to the original source. The guy is known on the french hockey internet as a fake.

Bottom line is he may sometimes be telling the truth, but the credit isn't his as he pretends.

Let's see how he spins his latest BS.

Oubliez le retour de Ryan McDonagh dans l’organisation du Canadien à court terme. Ce dernier vient tout juste de signer un premier contrat professionnel avec les Rangers.
He clearly stole this rumor from - http://www.snyrangersblog.com/2010/0...-with-rangers/

That same blogger just retracted his latest post saying that McDonagh hasn't signed, so I'm guessing DLC will come out tomorrow and say that his "source" just called him back saying that there were complications.

Regarding Chainey, I must point out there are still two years left to his contract with Anaheim. He's unlikely to go anywhere.
You seldom (not never, but seldom) see front office people do lateral movement from one team to another when they're still under contract.

Have you noticed the words «I think» at the beginning of my post?

I called it:

UPDATE (11:16) Dumping rapporte que Ryan McDonagh n'a pas signé d'entente avec les Rangers. Il y a eu aucune négociation sérieuse à ce sujet dans les derniers jours.
