Strickland: Kitchen may join coaching staff next year

As an assistant coach. Have to imagine that he would replace Torchetti.

Kitchen worked under Q in St. Louis

Torchetti is gone as soon as the final game is over

Thrashers clearly want him

I was thinking a few weeks ago that Haviland would end up with Devils ,,,,, But Lou L seems to want to continue to fail to adapt to post lockout NHL in NJ

I knew Torch was gone and likely Havvy too, but who is this Kitchen character? Also if he is the assistant coach next year, they should ask him "What's cookin?" at intermission reports.

If Havy leaves too, then I think John Anderson would be a good choice

Good Buddies with Q

No surprise...

Thrashers get permission to speak to Torchetti

Quote:
On the head coach search front, I can report that Thrashers general manager Rick Dudley has asked for and received permission from Chicago to talk to Blackhawks assistant coach John Torchetti about the team’s head coaching position. No word yet on when there will be an interview but I’m working on it.

Why?

No suprise , Good for Torch

With them waiting all this time it is a slam dunk that he is the HC of Thrashers. Wont be a suprise to see a hawk or two follow him there via trade

Cause I like Torch. I want to see him do well wherever he goes. Not too well though...
