Man i would be piss off as a Habs fan, but really happy because hes a great guy with great a.i. .
I would be piss so bad about the Habs organisation , who screw this up big time. Was it Gauthier decision to let him walk without trying to keep him? I think its the decision of the president on that one or whoever is on top of him who is able to give Boucher an offer. Nobody budge a finger, and i dont understand why. If it was Gauthier décision, well he was affraid to lose his job, knowing he can be replace by Martin who got replace by Boucher.
M.Molson, you miss the boat on that one big time. You were blinded by that amazing playoff run and tough the men in place are the one who will put us on the right track, and your wrong! Boucher IS a better coach than Martin , and he will prove it big time this season.
First, he won't win, his chance is very slim. Even with a good team you have to remember that he is a ROOKIE coach that has 0 (ZERO) NHL games under his belt.
Thus, I don't give a **** how much people hype him: "Ohh, he is soo good with the rookies we should fire JM now". Please, coaching NHL and coaching minors is different.
Now, don't get me wrong, I'm sure Bouch will do well with TB, like taking them to the PO's. But they won't win it. It's just good that he can start somewhere where the market is not that big, learn his craft, and come back to Canadiens.
And, people, get serious, we could not have fired JM under any circumstances this spring. "Yeah JM hello, I know you took us to the ECF with epic wins over Pitts and Wash but we have decided to replace you with a coach from the minors, sorry".... you see the point.
AND FINALLY. If he wins, I'll be happy for him. Enough said.
Boucher's a good young coach, but he's not Ghandi.
People really need to let this go, he's a coach... and I hear when he gets cut he does bleed. Rumor has it he also has yet to master the art of walking on water.
Do people really think Gauthier would say "well Jacques, you did lead the team to two improbable playoff victories...but we decided to replace you with a guy who has one year of AHL coaching experience, sorry".
I am guessing no but some people around here sure think he should of. I am also thinking that the Bolts don't even make the playoffs this year as they have to many holes.

My two cents...
and yours?
We might have been blinded by the playoff run like you say but it showed that Martin is a good coach. He out coached Boudreau and Bylsma en route to the ECF. Also, what message would it send to fire him in favor of a rookie after he just made it so far? Would look real bad throughout the players, organization and the league.
