Halak must have asked/demand for a trade.
Otherwise, Montreal probably would have wanted to keep both Price & Halak a little longer.

I wouldn't be surprised if RDS is wrong. LOL They always **** up. I'll assume they aren't for now.

Gotta pray Price holds up in Montreal and does become as good as his supporters think he will.

lulz. Today just got a whole lot more interesting.
We were at the crossroads, hopefully this is a case of selling high. I for one really want Price to succeed, and I thought that if we traded him it would come back to haunt us later on.. but I did not expect they would be moving Halak after what we just went through.

I think trading a goalie was the right move. That said, the return better be good.

I am utterly SHOCKED
I wonder what happened? Did Halak ask to be dealt? Or did STL just blow them away with an offer? God I hope STL blew them away with an offer. I hope the Habs didn't get screwed here.

Wow. Selling Halak at high water mark. Got to give kudos to the Montreal GM on this one. The guy has some balls.

Maybe it was best offer and it wasn't on table forever. Maybe it involves a draft pick so it can't be done AFTER the draft. Not sure.

I've always found some of those Halak vs Price debates exaggerated but I knew I'd be sad no matter who was going to be traded. In this case, Jaro gave a lot to the organization. He spent years in the shadow of the other, was pushed away yet remained disciplined with great work ethics. And what a playoff run he gave us!

Oh no! Don't make it so. Please Backes, not Perron.
And God damnit! They couldn't have waited after the end of a soccer match?

That's what I'm afraid of.
The only way I want him involved is if we get him as the 2nd player in the deal.
