Congratulations on what? Being handed the keys to the city yet again without earning it?

I'm not going to turn this into a debate, but Carey had better pick up his socks and start playing good again.

Why do i have a feeling that some fans are wishing Price to crash and burn.

Because they are.

They'd rather he crashes and burn instead of doing good so that they can keep on whining on these boards.

Habs fans like victories, but some like complaining on message boards more.

Hell, we made it to the Conf. finals and we had tons of whiny threads about how losing in 5 erased everything the team had done and that we have a bunch of useless and gutless players. It'll never end.

**** son, well you can understand why fans are then kind of bemused by trading away the playoff MVP. It's not like it was just another year man, we had the best playoff performance since 93.

It's Price's job now, no debate at all, and I really hope he does very well.

Halak can **** off without the system. Call him god or whatever, I was tired of this ******** for a while. Wouldn't be surprised if his agent asked for 5+ millions per year.

Carey Price would've been a number 1 on any team without Halak this year and yet he's a freaking bust. You guys are annoying to read.

I think if Carey told management to trade Cam for a bag of pucks, they'd do it.

Because some fans actually are doing this. Sad that they are, but there are some....

Price didn't earn it but management must really think he is a god because he wasn't great last year and I jumped off the Jesus Price bandwagon.

I was always taught you had to earn your way and Halak earned his way as the #1 with every possible chance given to Price but he still couldn't do it.

Let's just hope we get a solid backup for Price. I can't wait when the crowd starts booing him....maybe he will blow kisses this time instead of waving?

If Price doesn't live up to the hype he'll wish he had been the one traded instead.

I think Biron would be a great backup as long as he's willing to come in at a decent price

I get that feeling as well!

By the way has he signed a new contract yet?
McKenzie on TSN said he was getting huge offers from the KHL

maybe he,s gonna be dealt out West for some unknown quantities like Eller and Shultz...?

The Blues are really aiming at becoming the next Black Hawks.

Hopefully, he'll spend the whole season on the bench because according to the "experts", that's where he suddenly made the biggest improvement of his career. So I guess I'd rather have a good goalie on the bench than a bad one between the pipes!

To be the man, WOOOOOOO! you've got to beat the man!

Price didnt beat anyone. Maybe some fans actually hope he crashes and burn; but some others just have realistic apprehension in handing him the #1 job (again) without having him actually taking it away from the top dog.

Price is the one left standing because Halak played himself out of Montreal; and because he's still judged by his long term potential. Let's just hope Price grew up between the ears last season and is actually ready to handle the responsibilities now. If not, expect more long bitter debates about him.

That was his team before the last season started he just lost the job due to his awful performance. 13 wins in 41 games

Sort of difficult to want to play for a team that ignores you completely after you take them to the best finish they have had in seventeen years. That being said, if you bothered to listen to Jaro instead of spewing this garbage you have no basis on, it would realize this post is essentially that, baseless garbage.

Jaro had nothing except praise and gratitude for this organization, an organization that snubbed him his entire tenure here.

Anyway, the one player with the most pressure besides Price next season will be Eller. Poor guy...
learn to understand how RFA contracts work when the player is under the age of 25 . Negotiation Leverage? lol.
