Scratch Bouillon and Bertuzzi off that list as of today, they signed with their current teams.

What a joke. Niedermeyer at #6 and Hamhuis at #14. I have my eyes on #16 Willie Mitchell.

I'd take Niedermeyer for a year and pair him with DD and put Scuds with JJ

Toni Lydman? Maybe a 2 year deal worth around 1.9-2 Million. He could be a solid addition to play with JMFJ on the 2nd pairing

Anyone else think Matthew Lombardi is a real possibility when they look at that list?

I was giving him some thought, but I think we can do better, I believe he didn't have a good season this year right?

I'm surprised nobody is mentioning Ray Whitney. Deano made a big push to get him at the deadline, seems like a good Plan C behind Kovalchuk and Marleau.

Unfortunately, you are right. And RH, while you may have your eyes on Mitchell, Willie's eyes are stuck watching the horizon to keep from feeling dizzy, nauseous, and losing his balance. If his symptoms ever resolve, he's great, but then he's is also going to be one hard hit from a Deadmarsh retirement.

The hitting is just so hard these days and the players so big, strong and fast, the league is going to have to do something really serious about boarding and hits to the head. And I dont believe Malkin even got a game suspension.

I like Whitney, Torres, Nolan, Modin or Stempniak for a winger signing. Then sign Hamhuis and a 4th line gringer (lol! typo.. nm.. that is like a cross between a grinder and a ginger.. a gringer!) so you don't have more than 2 rookies on the 4th line (I'm guessing Schenn starts on the 4th line). I don't know what his bonuses are but maybe he is more likely to hit them on the second line? If so and he is able to eventually take over that role during the course of the year, Stoll should be moved freeing up some CAP space.

Yeah, I'm well aware of his concussion issues. He's still a very good dman and I don't see any harm in taking a chance at him if he clears medically.

Plekanec is too soft for the Western Conference.

Nope, the West is much bigger & stronger down the middle. You think that it was a fluke that the West destroyed the East all season long?
