Not sure why we kept Macias when we have so many young dmen going to Lake Erie. A few will probably play in the ECHL though.

yeah we can only have so many young guys on one team , an ahl defense comprised solely of rookies will get stomped on and hurt development.

Yep. Seems like the Avs are getting their AHL signings out of the way (though Porter has a chance at making the Avs).
We still need to re-sign our big RFA's in Stewart, Mueller, Quincey and Yip.

Just glad we kept Porter. I like his game as a fill-in guy on any line.

They'll give out the QOs for the small fish and then start negotiating the bigger boy contracts after the draft

That's true, but they may decide to let Peltier and/or O'Neill walk. There will be room in LE.

I think Peltier's time is coming to an end.

If we tender QO offers to Stew, Mueller, Yip and Quincey, they can't be offer sheeted right?
And of that list, Quincey is the only arbitration eligible one right?

No, they can be offer-sheeted with a QO. only after they sign a contract are they not available.

The QO just sets the compensation to the team that loses the player - draft picks, etc.. (I believe....someone correct me if I'm wrong...)

no, that's the NFL. the QO just establishes the right of the qualifying team to match any outside offer and get compensation if an outside offer succeds. the outside offer is what sets compensation.

Macias played a few games as a winger last year...
Is there a conversion in the future?
