There's a name from the past. I remember in the early to mid eighties when I was a kid buying hockey cards. You would get a Corrado Micalef card in ever other pack. That was how I knew this guy wouldn't amount to much of a goaltender. I must have about 50 of his cards in the basement somewhere.

What impressed me least about Corrado? Well, for starters, his mask:

I never liked his hair. Also, I didn't like the way he wanted to shamelessly promote every product out there. Tragic that he received no offers. Though, I didn't know his Dad, if I did, I would've resented him too.

I know he played in the Memorial Cup because the book I have says so.

Actually, I thought he was European when he was playing in the NHL.

Didn't he play for the Montreal Road Runners in indoor roller hockey league or something, it was a while ago but we lost in the final against the rochester rhinos I think and the goal came from the other end of the rink. It was like 10 times worst than the Belarus goal against Salo.

What least impressed me about Corrado Micalef?

His preference for using his facemask to block shots.

He was born on the same day as Don Mattingly (a good day for baseball players).
