Just a heads up for any northern NJ/NYC metro area folks that might be interested. A new state of the art hockey training facility just opened up in South Hackensack, a couple of miles away from the Ice House. They have a mini-rink, a skating treadmill, a ton of dry land equipment and they'll be running a bunch of hockey related classes on all of the various equipment starting next Monday. I stopped by for an open house this afternoon and the place is really nice.
The website is still under construction, but the Facebook page has some good information. Check it out.
Stopped by there today, really cool place. The staff was really friendly and welcoming. They've got a radar gun and video cameras set up in the mini rink. The treadmill was about the coolest damn thing I've seen in a while.
Judging from the pics on Facebook this place looks to be extremely well organized & funded... Pretty impressive...
I was blown away by it to be honest. I was expecting to walk into a room with the treadmill and Scotty shaking everybody's hands, but that's not the case at all. He had a full staff, all of the equipment is in different rooms, and everything just looked great. I really think he's onto something with this.
