Value of Andrew Ladd

Hi Chicago fans, congratulation for your Stanley Cup and thank you very much for defeating the Flyers

Now, Habs (fan) could be interested in Andrew Ladd. Judging by the report, he could be on the trade market. So I was wondering what could be the return that you guy are looking for in exchange for Ladd ?

Would Sergei Kostitsyn interest you ? Attitude and work ethic problem, but still a lot of talent if he can put it all together. It's just not gonna happen in MTL.

A draft pick ? A young defensive prospect ?

No Kostitsyn. Ever.

Yes, draft picks would be ideal. He could probably be had for your 2nd. You might have to take Sopel.

No interest in Sergei Kostitsyn. Picks would be a lot better.

Kotsytisin? For Ladd? Wow you Hab fans really have no clue do you. As a leaf fan I think we could make a trade work for you guys... The leafs traded Jiri Tlusty for Philip Paradis. Paradis was drafted 27th overall in the 2009 draft. His future is a 3rd liner with upside and has a tremendous work ethic. He could be ready to step in as early as the up coming season but would benefit from a year in the AHL, and that is no problem because you guys would save a year for his 3 years of his ELC contract. Is that fair value?

If Hamhuis's rights got Parent plus a seventh, I think Laddy's rights are easily worth a second or a third.

I would like to see Ladd on the Senators.

What about one of Ryan Shannon or Jessie Winchester?

I'd throw up if Ladd puts on a Canucks jersey.

I heard that the Hawks being up against the cap force them to trade Ladd because they're unable to make him a qualifying offer thus losing the right to receive compensation if he signs elsewhere.

Paradis is in no way ready for the NHL. Where do you gather that information from?

Ryan Shannon and your 3rd or 4th would be more than enough for me. For the record 'Hawk fans, Shannon is a bit undersized but he plays a very solid game for a player of his size.
