yawn......

So we do the Thrashes a favor for a 7th rounder this weekend. Future considerations could be nothing.

I don't understand why a lot of posters saying no big deal.

Nabokov (9th round 1994), Murray (8th round 1999), Pavelski (7th round 2004), and Demers (7th round 2008) played significant minutes for the Sharks last year. DW just gave Burke and his crew another late round swing for pretty much nothing in return.

Good job DW.

Its not a 'big' deal, but its a no brainer. Absorb two contracts for like 4 days and get a draft pick. Why the hell not...

For some stupid reason I'm really interested as to what the "future considerations" are. I know it's nothing major, but could it be something crazy like DW has to take the Atlanta GM to dinner? Or is it strictly hockey related (I could see it being something like the Sharks agree to not draft a player the Atlanta covets)

It's nothing. It's just that you can't trade something for nothing, so they say future considerations. It's dumb.
