Dreger: Florida Offering 15th Overall Pick

DarrenDreger

15th overall is in play. Florida is willing to move the pick. Oilers among those interested. ]

Who on Oilers I would want?

Hemsky, probably wouldn't be enough. I doubt they trade any of the decent talent.

They've been said to be shopping Hemsky, Cogliano, Penner in addition to all the crap like O'Sullivan and Nilsson. I'd keep the pick. Nothing there I'd give it up for.

Unless the 1st pick is available, I wouldn't trade it to them.

Injury prone or not, I'd like Hemsky on this team, what hands.

Oilers would never offer up Hemsky for that pick.

I think it would be along the lines of.....

Cogliano, Riley Nash, 31st & 48th

Penner is also probably another one since you guys just got rid of Horton.

Hemsky is a UFA in two seasons and I'm not sure he'd resign here.

Man, is Tallon really creating quite a stir in South Florida. I wont be able to be up for the draft, but I will be getting up an hour early Saturday morning just to see what moves we made. This is the most exciting draft we have witnessed in some time.

I was referencing the lazy factor. Penner was a healthy scratch just a year ago for being lazy.

Ahh. He seemed to have a pretty good season this season. I just want a player who will park himself in front of the net. I think we had a hard time scoring last season and quite a few seasons prior because we just had nobody in the slot causing havoc, distracting the opposing team's dmen and goalie. Penner is that type of guy. If it is him edm is offering or interested in offering, I would hope we could finagle a bit more out of them.

Yep, Tallon is shuffling the deck which is what we had to do. I love this guy.

He was good last year, but up until that point he was one of the Oilers biggest disappointments (like Horton here). Penner being fat is a running joke in Calgary (deserved too) and even my Oiler fan friends don't really like him and want to sell high if they can.

I would only do it if they took back some salary.

probly more picks coming our way ,it would be smart to hold on to the pick to see whos available at the 15 pick when the time comes . Then if its no one were to interested in trade it.
