And Eklund shot back, saying there is more than one deal the Leafs are working on. Dreger was most likely focusing on the Kaberle front.

He scooped was the Chicago-Atlanta deal.

Eklund is on fire right now, don't be surprised if what he says comes true.

Please not Tangradi, not sure how he and Didomenico would get along in the future

I think Tangradi has better potential personally than Kulemin does, but their value's probably aren't even because he is still a prospect.

I'm not the biggest Kulemin fan on the block, but the more I think about it, the more I could live with a Tangradi for Kulemin deal. The only thing I dislike about it is the fact that we probably have to pay Kulemin 2.25-2.5M and Tangradi would be around .8M. I honestly believe that Tangradi is one day going to be a first line power forward, but because we could use a top 6 guy with potential for this upcoming season who has a little experience, I could deal with this trade from a Pens perspective. I wish we could get him without giving up Tangradi, but we'll see what he goes for I guess if he gets dealt, be it to the Pens or someone else.

I was pretty sure James Murphy threw out the Horton to Boston rumor before anyone, saying that Boston was going after him hard... and he did that June 20th.

From what I saw, Eklund didn't start reporting it until much much later.

You don't trade a 23-year old budding NHL powerforward for a prospect with a similar level of potential....despite popular belief, the grass isn't always greener on the other side. If Kulemin is going to Pittsburgh, it would be Tangradi+ or something involving one of Goligoski/Kunitz or Letang/Staal with Toronto adding something fairly significant.

because Kulemin is in the NHL, is a very similar player, and has a history with Malkin?

The only reason I'd even consider trading Kulemin for Tangradi is because Kulemin isn't signed... if not for that, I'd much rather keep him. Even then I'd probably wait to see if anyone hands him an offersheet...

Also, Plekanec was first reported by Kypreos and the CBA raise was reported by numerous sources before Eklund.

Even if you're going to ignore all his misses, he's still not 4 for 4. He's 1 for 1.

Oh totally understandable I'm sure there would be absoltuely zero rumors about the guy if he wasn't unsigned.

there is a Dreger vs. Eklund *****fight that's stirring. it's hilarious to watch.

started a few days ago, at least for me, on the fan960 when Dreger not so subtley called Eklund a clown who makes their jobs harder and pisses off GMs.

So they can get a 36 point guy who is demanding more money than he's worth. But he's a Leaf so he's totally gonna get 30/30 next year. BOOK IT!

Should the Sharks trade Devin Setoguchi for Tangradi?
Should the Stars trade James Neal for Tangradi?
