I ****ing hate Berger, but I do like the idea of having Blake Wheeler. Only problem is, he needs some heart, determination, and needs to use his size properly.
Then again, if we trade for him, sooner or later we're going to be the Toronto Flaming Bruins...
Wheeler and our 2011 1st back is MORE than good enough for me for Kaberle.
That's a deal that would be very solid for the Leafs if tehy can pull it off. Get a young 2nd line RW with size and a 1st rounder next year to use in acquiring a top line LW.

Bruins fan here. Toronto would have to take a salary dump to make any deal like that work. Kaberle makes about $4 million and Wheeler will probably come in around 2-2.5 ... which Boston still can't fit. Toronto would have to take Ryder too.

For the Maple Leafs to get Wheeler and their first back, if they have to take Ryder to make the money work then I would guess Burke has to do it. Tough pill to swallow though.

Not too sure about this, personally I'm not very interested. Of course Wheeler is American though so Burke probably loves him.
Wheeler is fast and no-doubt skilled, but he took a step back from his rookie season, and he plays like he's 5'10" instead of 6'4", he rarely uses his frame, and many games he plays lazy without any heart or determination. I'd rather have someone else, and I don't want to send Kabs to Boston...Kabs + Chara = nightmare
If the Leafs trade Kaberle, they better get more than just Blake Wheeler in return. And no, I don't mean Michael Ryder. I'm really starting to think he won't be traded, and all of the speculation will be for nothing. The first round of the draft will come and go tonight and the Leafs will be spectators.
