Once again smart move buy Burkie, decrease Savard's value even more. The NTC hinders the Bruins, being owed 7 million next year hinders other teams and now with the leafs having "interest" in a player similar to Savard it should decrease his value even more.

Ribeiro just isnt a brian burke type of player. Then again, Burke isnt in a position to be picky with the major holes they have at centre.

That would be outstanding. A gutless puke like him I'd love to face six times a year. He's about as far away from a "winner" as you can get.

And a line with Ribeiro and Kessel would possess all the toughness of the Canadian Women's Olympic team. Talk about ***** power.

Ribeiro changed, he's no longer soft. Two years ago in the playoffs he often was the best player on the ice, holding his own in the corners, protecting the puck as if his name was Henrik Sedin, making smart plays out there. With him in our lineup instead of Plekanec, we're probably Stanley Cup finalists.

This thread is filled with people who don't know what they're talking about.

I think that there's a good chance that Ribeiro has already gone through his peak, and that his
Point-Per-Game seasons are behind him. He'll probably settle back down into a 20-to-25 goal 60-to-70 point 1B/2nd-line center for the next few years. Nothing wrong with that, but it doesn't exactly leave me in dread at the thought of facing it six times a year. Besides, Pleks-Cammy would be just as good as Ribeiro-Kessel, and maybe even better.

All that being said, I doubt Dallas trades him. Word is that Modano might be leaving Dallas (and he's nearing retirement anyway), and Dallas will need a good 2nd line center to backup Richards.

Oh yeah, he faked an injury, it has to mean he's soft. Kovalev faked an injury that cost us a game once....was he soft?

From whoever has seen him play and is open minded, you all know he's not going to initiate anything but he'll work through hits. But if anybody who aren't big time hitters are soft, then so he is. Can people make a difference between embelishments and soft?

Anyway, it's not on this board that we'll read anything sane about Ribeiro that's for sure....Yep...Gutless puke 'cause he was totally dumb....once. Good job.

Hey, the reason I posted it was for laffs (laughs, see what I did there).

Honestly though, he's not soft. He is talented and I did appreciate his play during his time here. When he went to Dallas, I was only envious at his game play, since he was producing the numbers that the Habs desperately needed at the time. The thing that turned people away from him was his harsh words about the Canadiens, obviously spoken from a man that was upset and bitter and also obviously a little immature. He did have his low moments as well down there, such as his high-stick fake with the Leafs.

If Brian Burke wants him, then it'll be interesting to see what happens. Trigger happy idiot? Well I'd love to be a trigger happy idiot too if it makes me a Stanley Cup winning coach.

Idiot, not by a long chance.

wow could you imagine Komi, Phaneuf, Graboski, Kessel and Ribeiro on the same team? Jesus i';d hate them so much. They'd just need to add Diveboard Savard to complete the perfect game.

I agree with you 100%, I don't think he'd as effective as he is in Dallas. Toronto doesn't have Morrow type guys for him to play with. What I mean is Kessel is a great scorer but neither Kessel or Ribeiro scare anyone physically.

It's kind of like Montreal's Gionta / Gomez and Plekanec / Cammalleri Duo's. Great duo's but there is no one to make space for them..

I am remeebing this game where Ribeiro failed... The Bruins were not getting called on anything, it was stupides... Before Ribeiro faked it, at less 2 others players were hit by behind, getting some injury like action... it wasn't hockey!

On the play, i was welling against the referees... They let 3 minutes slashing, hitting, etc. ... and Now one of the best players got injurded...

Okay, I was mad after word that he faked it... But hey! The bruins were not playing hard but cheap, the referees were absent... for my self, it the worst part of hockey!

PS, I've played hockey, slashing and cheap shot are so easy to do, great passes and goals... not!

http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/stats/p....php?pid=35733
That not enough to by a good hockey players for some of you... lol!!!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-tPc-i7QHAs

Do that and than come back...

(I not a Ribeiro Fans, it just that some comments are... well... to you know that it take goals to win a game... Yes, this may be new, but it like this since I'm looking at this sport)

Yes this last one was a dive...

The super fake against Boston, The Bruins desurve the penalty, but referees were "letting" the players played (are kill them self...).

Maybe Burke saw
