Here we go.... NHL Fires "Unfair Labor Practice" Salvo with NLRB
They're saying the NHLPA's policy of forcing players to give back ALL of their benefits since the lockout if they become a replacement player is an unfair practice. They're also poised to file another grievance claiming that the league's stance on de-certifying any agent that represents a replacement player is unfair as well.
This is great news. If the NLRB sides with the owners, it could really push things along
Keep in mind though that the NLRB, even if it sides with the owners, has no jurisdiction with the Canadian teams. Canadian Government is likely to side with the players union on most issues as it is far more "liberal" and "socialistic".
