I did the test twice (didn't fail once, my second time, I had to do it because the first test had expired).
I used the site as well...it has 90 percent of the same questions, the DOS based test has just slightly modified wording that is all.

it is sufficient to pass the test, you probably wont' get 100 but you dont' need a 100 to pass. (I did on my second try but I'm a genius ).

Most of my friends who failed failed on the 3rd section - Basically, dont' get cocky when you pass the first two easily. Take it slow, you have all the time in the world to finish the test. Take 5 minute per question if you need to.

The site is pretty damn close. Just keep doing it over and over until you get 95-100% each time and it'll basically be impossible for you to fail the actual test. Some of the questions are the exact same on both tests.

I havent driven in 7 years but now my job requires me to drive so last month i passed that test using only the questionnaire on the site and it was so very darn close. I passed easily.

I just did the online tests every night for 5 days and then it was easy. I have my permit now.

Does anybody know with the new SAAQ program, any way to get your license for cheap???

Apparently, now you absolutely have to take a driver's course and everyone is charging over 900$...

- Forge one
- Drive without one and hope to never get caught
- Become friends with someone who owns a driving school

There's no way. Unless you got your permit before January 21st, you're gonna have to pay almost a grand when it's all said and done to just get your full liscence

christ who comes up with this ****??

My fiancee was just looking into it since she never got a license, you are now forced to go to school to get your learners permit and they are all at least 800$. This is a big chunk of people's income.

So funny that in the socialist paradise of quebec only rich kids will be able to afford a driving license, is this the 1950s or something??

Hey to the morons in Quebec, if you are concerned about public safety on the road, instead of making it very expensive to get a learners permit, how about your final test a lot harder instead, so people have prepare thouroughly?

getting really tired of this idiotic province that is stuck in the 1970s.

Wouldn't want people to actually know how to drive and be familiar with the rules of the road now would we.

Driving is a privilege that is earned.

no, now driving is a priviledge for wealthier people, which is a regression of people's mobility.

if you want to create better drivers, you don't have to force them to go to schools, you just need to have a more difficult test?

why should my fiancee have to go to school when I could teach her myself and do a better job than some algerian guy at one of these shady driving schools?? Oh and it won't cost me 800$ either.

I agree that driving is a priviledge, but there are better ways to increase driver quality, such as make the test more difficult, and add more of a punishment for failure (6 months until next try), than forcing people to go to schools.

I could understand them making driving lessons a necessity to get your probationary license. But to force you to take a course for the learner's permit is a joke.

I'm telling you man, I took the test in October and practised using only the SAAQ site. I got 1 wrong in the entire thing. And I'm an idiot when it comes to anything driving related.
