i need clarification... do personal attacks against eklund actually count as a violation of the ToS of HFBoards and its subsidiaries?

I am going to lean towards no.

Especially considering he expects people to PAY HIM for his rumors and his Eklund pass or whatever it is.

Not saying he doesn't have connections, but I take Ek with a grain of salt.

The Bruins have no leverage when it comes to trading Thomas. Getting rid of his salary should be enough of a prize for them, so if we trade for him the price should be dirt cheap.

It would have to be Gagne for Thomas and somebody good and with a cheap contract.

Agreed. The Flyers don't need Thomas or the 5 million dollar cap hit he brings. Boston needs to make the move because Rask is ready and having a 5 million dollar goalie as a back up is just a bad investment.

If the Flyers do make this move, then it should mean that someone like Joe Colborne or Zach Hammil or Yuri Alexandrov should be coming the other way as well for taking the contract off the Bruins' hands.

Gagne has a no trade clause and zero reason whatsoever to waive it.

This isn't happening. Calm down Chicken Littles.

Yes they do, but only because he has actually joined this site as a member lol. So he comes under protection of the rules.

We just offered Turco $2.00m per. Who knows what we lowballed Nabby with?

Now we're going to go out and actually waste a great asset, when he have the cap space not to mind you, on an even older, more expensive goalie coming off hip-surgery who probably isn't even better than most of the legitimate options on the market since he's heavily created by his current team's system?

If we do this, this will be the worst move Paul Holmgren has ever made.

Randy Jones looks like dropping a quarter on the street accidently compared to this disaster, which is like leaving your wallet full of a cool $500 cash in your pocket when you wash your clothes.

You Holmgren haters can rejoice. This is the move, should it happen, that Holmgren finally earns his new scapegoat title. If this happens, he needs to be gone.

If our terror alert system was run by Eklund, it wouldn't be green-blue-yellow-orange-red....it would be lighter to darker shades of red.

Wait, why is anyone scared Gagne might be moved? Because there's a picture of him in the Eklund story? He puts a picture of an ice girl there sometimes for his rumors, and I've yet to seen an ice girl traded, much less waive their NTCs. Relax.

I'll be VERY happy when we get a goalie so I don't have to keep reading about Thomas. Man I'm tired of hearing his name.

By my calculations, he has broken 1 trade 5 minutes before anyone else and that means he is on fire?

What has he gotten right that wasn't already posted by someone else?

Beat everyone on the Chicago trade, and he had Recchi's signing before anyone else. Think he might have had something else, too.

Wrinkly bills are a disaster?

While I wouldn't be a huge fan of a Gagne for Thomas swap, I enjoy that this is the move that would put him over the top for you. Pushing aside that it's a deal for a guy that won a Vezina a year ago for a contract we probably can't keep past next year... it's also a poor salary cap management move that has been Holmgren's MO to this point. I mean, comparing it to the abject stupidity of the Jones situation isn't fair at all. You can justify dealing for Thomas. There is no justification for his decisions surrounding Randy Jones.

I hope you're sitting down when Homer announces he's signing Jones as our 5th D for $3M/yr.....
