Poor Rissmiller, guy just can't seem to cut it anywhere.

Ron Wilson sure loved him though

He is a good 7th D or vet AHL D to have in case of injuries if your team does not have much NHL ready D depth. But I do not see him as a viable bottom pairing NHL defenseman.

Oilers fans can say w.e. they want they lose a solid NHLer in Patty O'. He'll pot 50 points wherever he goes next year.

There was one time when Kelly Hrudey showed a clip of O'Sullivan at the intermission on HNIC. He had a chance to clear the puck, but he didn't want to get hit so he just coasted and didn't even fight for it. That is a microcosm of what was wrong with the Oilers and he did it all season long. So you can have his 34 points. Who cares, he was -35 on the season, essentially making him one of the worst players in the league.

Voros is the size that the Habs would be looking for on the bottom 6. Not alot of talent, but can hit, is big, can fight, and isn't afraid to run his mouth. The problem with Voros to the Habs, is his cap hit of 1mill which doesn't seem like alot, but to the Habs it is as they are strap for cap.

Pyatt who we have playing, produces what Voros does, and is half the cap hit. If Voros was on re-entry I think the Habs should pick him up, at 6'4 215 pounds great 4th liner we need to grind down other teams top lines. On re-entry he would only be 500k well worth his productivity.

Agreed. He was in a bad spot in Edmonton. I think he'll rebound and put up 50 points with a good squad. I could see him signing a cheap contract with Pittsburgh and playing with Malkin or maybe Burke would go after him in Toronto. Bringing in a 25 year old winger who has a lot of potential couldn't hurt their club.

Fresh starts for all those Oilers who obviously wanted out.

O'Sullivan looked good, at least promising, before becoming an Oiler. He never really wanted to be there.

Nilsson had one good season, but then tailed off. He didn't find a role.

And while Moreau's best days are behind him, he'd still be an effective checker for a team that wants Edmonton to pay half his salary. In fact, all these players would be alright with Edmonton paying half their salary.

The best part of these moves is that Edmonton be-rids itself of the Moreau 'cancer' situation. (ie. He wanted out because he's tired of all the crap.) And Edmonton clears room for all the kids they'll need to play.

Next: Find a taker for Souray, who just had a career-worst season.

Going from LA and rooming with Kopitar to ending up in Edmonton I can't really blame the guy. I can guarantee he'll turn his game around anywhere else.
