what?
O'Sullivan is from North Carolina, but he was born in Toronto.

He did an interview on the Oilers website last year and discussed it. His parents were traveling in Toronto when he was born, but he definitely didn't seem like he liked acknowledging the fact that he was born there or was technically Canadian. He said that he doesn't like telling people about it.

And while Moreau's best days are behind him, he'd still be an effective checker for a team that wants Edmonton to pay half his salary. In fact, all these players would be alright with Edmonton paying half their salary.

The best part of these moves is that Edmonton be-rids itself of the Moreau 'cancer' situation. (ie. He wanted out because he's tired of all the crap.) And Edmonton clears room for all the kids they'll need to play.

Next: Find a taker for Souray, who just had a career-worst season.
This is the most ignorant post I have ever read. I know you hate Edmonton (your envy and jealousy shines through every post when talking about them), but please, some objectivity would be nice.

Vandermeer for O'Sullivan. We'll throw in Nokeleinen too if you want.

The buyouts were of course needed, as Eberle, Hall and MPS are all coming in. This is an upgrade.

But picking up any one of these buyouts and having Edmonton pay half their salary would be a benefit to a team in a better position than Edmonton was last season.

Unlike the other buyouts, the Edmonton ones hold some value.

Everything he said is reasonable, and I agree on most points. While I think Moreau and Nilsson are not special players, O'Sullivan can be good, just not in Edmonton.

And I laugh at your envy and jealousy comment. Just because you can't agree with someone doesn't make them "jealous". Edmonton is finally stacking their shelves with nice prospects, but we've already heard that before. Stop beating your stick too hard, nobody is envious, especially not a Vancouver fan (TOMapleLaughs).

Moreau was a joke and O'Sullivan was less than that. I don't care if you hate the city or whatever, but he was awful. No heart, no fight and couldn't hit the net to save his life. I'm sure the Oilers are glad to pay half his salary just to get rid of him and I'm sure he'll get 15-20 elsewhere.

For the Oilers to get any better, the cancers need to be gone. Souray is next.

All of those players are pretty bad. The only one I would like the leafs to look at (if there is no one else available for them) is Nilsson.

O'Sullivan seems like one of those guys just happy to BE in the NHL, instead of working his ass off. His desire and work ethic keep him from being a top 6 forward IMO.

Well then I certainly can't imagine him considering Toronto as "coming home"

Not that he actually would "come home" to the Hurricanes either. His dad is a real tool.

I can see Fedoruk in Montreal but not at his current salary. I hope Pierre Gauthier sign one of these 3: Fedoruk, Arthyukin or Boogard but I dont think he will sign a fighter given the Laraque experiment and the 500 000$ habs have to pay for next 2 years.

Nor would I, as I think he would be a good fit and find some hometown fire.

That said, I don't think they'll claim him - let him get bought out, then try to sign him cheap.

Thats his problem though. He could score 30 goals for crying out loud, but he has an attitude and whines and moans when things don't go his way. He played like garbage in Edmonton, and whined to the media when he had his minutes cut. He whined when he was benched. This guy is very, very talented, but he is also a grade a butthole. For him to be a solid NHL'er, he needs to be in the top six, and not pestered about playing defensively. We won't miss him.

I might take a flyer on POS if he was on recall waivers, no way I'd pay him 3 mil per though

I'm pretty sure Paaty O will bounce back when he signs at a team he wants to play for.
Even this waiving will make up his mind that he isn't handled a NHL job.

Would be happy to see him back in L.A. was never a friend of trading him away.

It wasn't those comments I was disagreeing with it was the "wanted out" and "didn't want to be there" comments that I took issue with. Nobody wanted Moreau, the only ones who were tired of crap were his teammates in the locker room.

Other than that, you're basically bang on.

Sorry I wasn't more clear. I just don't think the players didn't want to be here or wanted out like you're implying.
