Just so everyone's clear, there will be a re-signing phase from June 29th - June 30th so don't panic, you will have time to re-sign your players. Other than that, enjoy the playoffs and we'll be back at it by the end of it.

Still no posting until it starts

.... I've said this quite a few times in the past month.

You guys will be negotiating with:

Western Conference Teams: Sensational Spezza
Eastern Conference Teams: juice1815

This is only for the re-signing part though. And it counts for re-signing both RFA's and UFA's.

The have made a bunch of signings

Erik Johnson/4.2M/ 5y: We are very excited to have E.J. here long term, he is a guy we look forward to seeing expand his offensive game. A former first round pick is going to be heading into what we think is a breakout year.

Steve Downie/ 3y/ 2.6M : For obvious reasons, Steve Downie is one of my favorite guys on the team. He is a guy that will continue to get better being on a line with Stamkos in Tampa Bay.

Marc Savard/ 5y/ 5M : Marc is a leader on this team and with him and Zajac providing a solid 1, 2 punch down the middle its hard to pass up.

Justin Peters/ 2y/ $.950M : Peters is our backup goalie and we hope he gets his share of playing time in Carolina sharing the net with Cam Ward.

Jaorme Samson/ 1y/ .700M (2way) : Jarome is a very good depth player for us, I hope that this is a move that ends up looking good down the road.

Colby Armstrong/ 1y/ 2.4M : Colby is a guy we debated letting take a walk into ufa, but he took a slight decrease in price to earn a bigger payday next year.

The Rangers also re-signed RFA's:

RE-SIGN FREE AGENTS

Duncan Keith is one of the many up and coming free agents re-signed by the Anaheim Ducks today.

Ducks lock up up and coming UFA and RFA's
GM Bryan Murray has declared a re-build for the club.
BOB MCKENZIE - TSN - 3:25 PM PST

Anaheim, CA. - GM Bryan Murray never really thought of his team to be a contender from the start. "I, just don't see our franchise making the playoffs this season, our team isn't strong enough. "

With that being said, GM Bryan Murray has tried his best to keep what he calls the "core" of his club for another year, he plans on acquiring a low 1st round pick in the 2011 Entry Draft, but if the opportunity is set to make his team younger, he will gladly take the offer. "We really don't have that great of the future up front, alot of older players on this squad, which is not good future wise for this franchise."

But this was not the case for today, as Bryan Murray successfully signed the majority of his up and coming Unrestricted and Restricted Free Agents. The list of Restricted Free Agents included big names in Duncan Keith, Mason Raymond, with other depth including Paul Ranger, Ryan Parent, Ben Bishop and Tanner Glass. All re-signed to contract ranging from 1 year to 7 years. Unrestricted Free Agents included defenseman Zybnek Michalek, who signed for $5,500,000 over the span of four years, including a NTC. Goaltender Jonas Hiller also re-signed, as well as pest Jordin Tootoo.

The team stopped negotiations with Dan Ellis, and will most likely head into Free Agency.

Bryan Murray also placed Chris Drury on the block. "Although we won't get much for him, we feel that he could get at least some value. "

For TSN, I'm Bob McKenzie.

The have made another big announcement to make today. They have signed star Alex Semin to a 6 year extension that kicks in after this coming season. The deal will pay Semin $30 Million dollars ($5M per season).

GM TBLbrifri had this to say, "This is a move that didn't have to be done yet, but we like to have a set plan for the future and Alex wanting to stay with us shows his dedication to the franchise. He wanted to wait and see if we would keep the other stars on his team to make his decision. We are proud he decided to stay with us long-term."

Question...come July 1st, are agents going to entertain multiple offers on players and go with the best option? or just first come first serve?
