He looked pretty promising as the season wore on. He worked on simplifying his defensive game, and showed good decision making offensively (particularly knowing when to pinch in). DeBoer showed quite a bit of confidence in him, which isn't an easy feat for d-men on this team.
I wouldn't mind him getting 2-4 years anywhere in the 1-2 million range.
So he goes from a call-up to full time NHLer in an off season?

He played most of the last half of the season last year. Although, it was partially due to dumping Seids and Leo. He also led the team in +/-, while actually playing a regular shift (unlike the other defensive "call-ups").
