Well, we have a point of reference for today at least:
According to Philly Sports, linked from THN about the Turco to Flyers rumours, it says:
With similar stats, the same age and a much better record, Nabokov was reportedly seeking no less than $4.5 million per season. He earned $6 million with the Sharks this year.
We know that Wilson perceives that to be economically unviable (or perhaps, he's politely saying we no longer have faith in you...)
It will be intriguing to see what Turco or whoever replaces Nabby gets. If the $2.9m is as reported, to me $1.6m doesn't seem like a huge amount of cap to save, not least because Pavelski and Marleau have already more than consumed that in their pay rises...
Thereís a lot of things wrong with this country, but one of the few things still right with it is that a man can steer clear of the organized ******** if he really wants to. Itís a goddamned luxury, and if I were you, Iíd take advantage of it while you can.

I believe he has stated that he wants to be a stater next season and bigger paycheck than what he had in TB. If Sharks could sign him around 2 million (don't know if that's too much for them) he could play around 45-50 games and Greiss could play the rest. Does that sound like a good plan for you?
