They are up to something. No doubt. Rumors now that Marc Staal could be included in a pitch for a top line player...One source speculated we could see Dubinsky and Staal for Spezza and Volchenkov's rights.
Even I hope this is not true and I don't like Staal
LOL No said he doesn't have connection it is the crap he puts out to draw people to the sight. Hey look anyone can say Rangers talking to so and so and it is true cause team call and talk but when teams pass in the airport and say it doesn't put them in negotiations
No way I do it. Volchenkov is a free agent tomorrow so he has no value on the trade market.
So I'm looking at it as Dubi and Staal for Spezza. Spezza is a very good player and obviously fits a need on this team but hes not a franchise carrying player. He was an afterthought during the Team Canada selection process. While hes worthy of his 7 million dollar contract, its not necessarily a favorable contract.
On the other hand, Staal at around 3.5-4 mil playing 27 minutes a game is a favorable contract as is dubinsky playing a top 6 role at 2 mil. I want Staal and Dubi on this team for a long time.
Eklund has been aknowledged by Mckenzie among others. Whether you folks like to believe it or not, or whether he spews bs or not; he still has plenty of connections.
Says who? Was it his connections that told him to Tweet that Spezza was traded to Columbus several days ago?
Think logically about this for a minute... Which legitimate NHL insider or team executive is going to feed Eklund rumors just so he can immediately post them on his stupid website for all of the gullible hockey community to digest? The guy shows absolutely no sense of professionalism whatsoever (edits his website when he posts false information with no sense of recognition for mistakes/errors).... No legitamate professional in the NHL is going to talk business with him when it's clear his intention is to generate revenue for his website.... I don't see any of the TSN Analysts or other professionals in the business trying to make money off their connections... Wonder why that is...
