Tanguay Back to Cowtown? If We're Lucky...

http://www.calgarysun.com/sports/hoc.../14565736.html

Calgary sun put out an article on how it would be much easier to bring Tanguay back to Calgary than getting Savard or a #1 center.

I was a huge Tangs fan when we brought him over and I think he would be a great asset, give him like a 2 year 2.5million deal or something, but I think he has the tools to be a top line winger.

Add me to the list that would like to see Tanguay return to Calgary, as he's still quite talented and his price tag won't be that high.

I'd be all over Tangs coming back!! I'd welcome him back with open arms and I hope the city would too. Iginla has a nack for getting players to have career years. If him and Tangs and a new #1 centre can get chemistry then the league better watch out.

Too bad it's a Francis article, and not by someone respected enough by the franchise to "leak" info to.

Don't get your hopes up.

Why does everyone want him back? Does everyone forget how every team in the league figured out the ever-deceiving "Tanguay pass to Iggy, Iggy shoots" strategy? Unless he learns to shoot more, he is not the answer to our offensive woes. Plus he is a few more years older now.

Works for the twins... At >1.5M he could be a very useful depth scorer.

Depth scorer or Iginla's top line puck feeder? He wasn't happy here on anything but the top line and being used on the PK. Tanguay won't fit here now imo we need to think younger.

And Tanguay + Iggy never were, and never will be anything close to the Sedins.

Tanguay is not THE answer but would be a solid reliable secondary scoring and primarily play making. Still I think the Flames go after for a top line centre. Maybe a line of X- Top Centre - Igina or Tanguay - ? - Iginla would work. Can not be worse than this year when Iginla had what 7 or 9 left wingers on his line?
