Think logically about this for a minute... Which legitimate NHL insider or team executive is going to feed Eklund rumors just so he can immediately post them on his stupid website for all of the gullible hockey community to digest? The guy shows absolutely no sense of professionalism whatsoever (edits his website when he posts false information with no sense of recognition for mistakes/errors).... No legitamate professional in the NHL is going to talk business with him when it's clear his intention is to generate revenue for his website.... I don't see any of the TSN Analysts or other professionals in the business trying to make money off their connections... Wonder why that is...

I'm not here to disect how he gets his rumors/where from. The point stands that Mckenzie has given him aknowledgment, has given him props before. There is no better established person out there then Mckenzie.

However, it's up to the reader to determine how he or she wants to take it. I personally take anything he(eklund) says w/ an extreme grain of salt.

This trade only happened because O'Sullivan is being bought out, already confirmed.

And Vandermeer isn't an UFA.

I wouldn't. Redden can be dumped in Hartford. Drury's time is almost up. Staal is a home grown top pairing D man who is still getting better.

No, thanks.

I'll be pretty bummed if this happens, those are two of my favorite rangers.

If Cigars & Scotch trades Staal it would go against every thing Sather said in his interview a couple of weeks ago about how Staal & Girardi are the core & they are the future for years to come etc etc.....

If he does trade him because he can't sign him to a long term deal because of the lack of cap space that he should be FIRED! I

It's his horrible Free Agent signings that continue to come back & bite us in the ass & will continue to for years to come.

Eklund ALWAYS seems to have Dubinsky in every trade rumor regarding the Rangers.

If Eklund was right Dubinsky would have been traded 15 times already

Eklund did go like 4/4 or 5/5 on trades before the draft... Blind luck but still impressive.

You don't trade players for rights.

It doesn't happen.

At least I've never heard of it. Egg on my face if someone finds one..

Hamhuis was traded twice for his rights, I believe. From Nashville to Philly to Pittsburgh.

Bouwmeester, Timmonen and Hartnell all disagree.

He means that you don't trade a roster player to obtain another player rights.

Jay Bouwmeester to Calgary last year. This happens pretty frequently. Its not unheard of.
