If this was rumored a few days earlier, I could believe it. Not with FA less than 12 hours away.

So Eklund thinks Rangers will trade Staal. Nice ... now we know Marc Staal will be a Ranger for life.

Did he really? Or was he just the first to spread a blogg/twitter?

I am pretty sure its the later...

They are up to something. No doubt. Rumors now that Marc Staal could be included in a pitch for a top line player...One source speculated we could see Dubinsky and Staal for Spezza and Volchenkov's rights.

Even I hope this is not true and I don't like Staal
cmon goon, ur smarter than this

This is part of the deal when you root for a popular team. These rumor mongors have to throw teams like the Leafs and Rangers into the mix to generate buzz. We are connected to every single free agent, every single veteran headed to UFA trade... part of it is our history and part of it is the traffic you can get by putting the Rangers in the rumor.

Slats has people who know how to play Eklund like a drum. Staal being a biotch in contract talks so Slats puts the word out on him. Edmonton was always the threat in the past. Just find the town a player least wants to go to and tell Eklund he is being shipped from New York to wherever!

It should be considered spam.
If people want to discuss it, they can.

You know the value of what you're reading. I think 99% of this forum does.

Could be a classic Sather bait and switch. Sutter hears Staal. Sather says yup, the guy just doesn't appreciate the intangibles in New York. Sutter says, well that seems like a fit. Calgary should teach him a lesson. Sather says, while we are talking about lessons, I have another idea. I have this Redden guy who has been well schooled by Torts and is ready for a break out. You wouldn't have to waste any time at all with training him. He is as they say, "shovel ready". Oh! Now you have my interest Glen. What do you want in return? Haven't given it much thought old Buddy..........what would you suggest?

We better give a bad contract, not take one back, if it involves us.
