Christ, you people would ***** about a free lunch. It's 1.65M guys. This is not breaking the bank either way. If it blows up in their face, they send him to Hartford. What is the big deal? It's not like he's immovable like Redden and you know he's going to do what you brought him here to do.

Id rather have a guy overpaid by 800k than 2 mil (Kotalik last year). Even if its double what hes worth. If it gets teams to stop running Hank and he's out there protecting us, I don't care.

That doesn't mean i'm 100% happy with the signing, I'm not but i can deal with it for now.

Well, they were teamates for a few years. Bet he gave a BIG thumbs up.

The Rangers with the draft and now with this signing just got oodles and oodles tougher.

I can guarantee you that that Carcillo issue would have NEVER have happened is Boogaard was on the team last year.

This is a ncie signing...money is a tad bit to high, but he is the best at what he does.
I think Boogey had the title for the last three years now.

And while the overpayment sucks...If Sather gets rid of Brashear it's a much easier pill to swallow.

But...As a pure hitter, Boogaard flat out crushes people! For that I am looking forward to. Also looking forward to Henrik not getting run once this season. I am sure he is too!

It will be pure enjoyment watching Flyer games now. Not that I want to see Shelley catch a beating, but...anyone in the Orange and black looks good getting thier ***** kicked!!!

Looks like i'm gettng a Boogey swaeter!

I'm glad we didn't sign him. Don't need anyone on this team that doesn't want to be here.

I'd rather have just played brash than paying this much for boogard. So we're now spending 3M on enforcers?

THERE'S THE SUPER HEAVY I WANTED!

What it should do to boost the rest of team to have this guy with them!

I wish we could've kept shelley and rid of boyle, but Boogeyman!!!!! Hell yeah!

HOPEFULLY he'll break his own records if a coach finally has enough brains to stick him in front for a screen and make it his main assignment next to beating some ass.

+ with Boog and Shelly off the market, it makes Brash more attractive on the waiver wire.

If that's the price then I'm much much happier. Even excited. This guy is HUGE. His presence alone will stop those ****ing bump ins to Lundqvist.

Uh no. The guy publicly asked for a trade. It has been hinted that he was a problem in the lockeroom, and was despised by a fan base that historically has LOVED their tough guys.

Typical Sather move.. No problem with the signing, but 1.65M is ridiculous considering our cap space, and needs.. Would have passed for that amount.. Would have passed on Shelley @3 years too.. The only thing Boogard can do right, is throw his fists.. Guy's absolutely terrible at playing hockey. July 1st always seems to suck..
