47 games played, 150 hits, 255 hits over 82 games. He's a perfect 4th line depending on the price.

I'll always remember Schubert for this

Not a fan. Could be decent depth, but...meh.

You forgot he can't play defense and the puck is like a grenade on his stick.

He also takes bad penalties.

He's awful. Even as a depth player, I'd rather use the Hamilton guys. He. Is. Bad.

Oh, he is pretty bad. He'd be signed and suppose to be on the 4th line, but Martin would play Darche over him

He's versatile, big, skates well, big hitter, but no hands and bad awareness. IF we sign him, I have the impression JM will us him often...

lol if we had schubert and darche, what a terrible, terrible bottom 6 we'd have.

If we're focusing our attention on Schubert, we're wasting energy on an useless option. Especially considering the depth of our defense. Not saying it's good, but it is deep.

Hammer-Spacek
Gorges-Gill
Markov-Subban
O'byrne
+
Carle/Weber

We absolutely don't need to add a marginal dman. That's just not a need at all in any way shape or form.

Unless this would be the first move behind bigger moves like trading Hamrlik (which probably wouldn't happen today anyway).

We had Dandenault skating around hitting too for a while. I don't see the point with Schubert. I'd rather just try out a young player. But we should still be able to go after one bottom-6 *real player*...

Burish is locked up now in Dallas, so unless Gauthier wakes up, Schubert will be all that's left.

Yes, if cheap. No, if over $800k, because it will restrict space for guys with more impact.

He has a great shot and will hit, two things we can use some of. But he IS just a spare part, even if it's a spare part I kind of like.

Nooooooooo!!!!!

I never liked that player. He plays a coward style of play and he's just not a hockey player with a good hockey sense. He's bad.

At this point, if Schubert is all that's left, then may Gauthier sleep in a peaceful slumber and never wake up. Schubert is not an upgrade over anything we have, he's a depth player useful for a team lacking depth. We don't lack depth we lack top players.
