Shelley would have been a good adition to the team since he's not that bad in the skating departement.

Their style, another guy in the East I preferred out west. The guys with girls names are the toughest.

Ya, 1.1 mil is a lot, but he can play the game, played 19 min in the most important game for Rangers last year. I said Asham earlier, but Carcillo could be expandable too, and how awesome would that be to have him!!!

I was hoping we'd sign Shelley but 3 years at 1.1 is too much and too long. We still need to add that type of player for games against Phillie, Boston, Toronto etc

Chicago just signed John Scott.
The Stanley Cup champions can have a goon in their lineup but not us?

Last time I checked, the season isn't starting tomorrow morning.
I hope such a player(at a 1 mil or less cap hit) is on PG's to do list.

Except 2 or 3 teams, everybody have goons or tough players who fight at least 8-10 times per year
Please Pierre Gauthier, sign Konopka, do it !

Konopka would be awesome. Tough guy that knows his role and fights 30 times a season.

In UFA who still avalaible, a player like McGrattan can fight Orr and Boogaard.
Konopka can drop the gloves against those guys but will probably loose his fights. He is more like a Laperriere (but better)

Nope. He can fight the guys that don't want to fight heavyweights.
I think every team should have a middleweight and a heavyweight.

I wonder what the chances are of swinging a deal with LA for Kevin Westgarth. He was considered one of the top guys in the AHL last seaon plus he can play a bit. I assume since Ivanans is gone to CAL that Westgarth is his replacement. Knowing the Habs though, they'll be stuck with Lappy and OB to do the scrapping. Hope they have a portable blood donation unit from Red Cross on standby at all Habs games.
