R2 redux

Since Konopka loses most fights and many fans have R2 jerseys already why not bring back R2 to give us some size? I have lost hope that R2 will play to his talent level but he's huge!

If I remember correctly, he is KHL bound. I liked R2 when he was here despite all of the penalties from big legal hits. Its a shame that he wasn't allowed to play his game in the NHL, maybe he will return some day with a more tolerant NHL, but I think that ship has already sailed.

Please god no, please don't let this happen. Let's please not bring in a guy who didn't work the first two times he was here just because he's big. So what if he can hit. Ohlund throws huge hits, is good defensively, and doesn't take all the stupid penalties. And Konopka is actually a better fighter than Arty. And is aces in the circle. No Arty needed.

No way...he couldn't hit a barn if he so stood a feet away, his hands very stiffer than a 100 year old war veterans and he did collect stupid penalties at the same rate Britney Spears collects ex-bf's..

I too think he took a KHL deal shortly after the regular season ended.

I don't have any animosity for him, but don't particularly covet him either. I wouldn't be opposed to him in a bottom 6 role if he was buying into it and playing a disciplined game. I know they say speed, size, and/or toughness can't be taught, but it always seemed to me that Arty was missing way too many of the things that CAN be taught to overcome those few attributes that can't.

There's a role for him in the NHL, but I can see why he'd maybe want to try and find a better role for more money in the KHL.

Getting rid of Z for R2 would be a downgrade. We want to upgrade.

I know its a difficult concept.

That's the only thing R2 has: size. No skill or brains to go with it.

No way you replace Knonpka with R-tool-kin, that's taking a huge step backwards.

I rather prefer have a rookie in his spot having a chance than him getting called for being big

No R2 and no bring-backs. No way.

Re-sign Konopka.
