Utah in Milwaukee tonight in a large game....11 games to go,trailing Chicago by 3 points, this is Milwaukee's game in hand over them.....Utah with the worst record in the AHL,but, they did beat the Admirals the last time they played them 4-2. For the season,Milwaukee leads Utah 6 games to 2.
Admirals magic number is now 6 points to make the playoffs. Have no idea whether finley or kotyk will be in net tonight, since they've both stunk their last time out. Or what the injury situation is with Smithson,Brown,Yarema,Tootoo, or Henry. But expect Segal to start for one of them.
most disturbing..admirals give up another goal in the last two minutes of the 2nd period...just like they did in the first...2-2 at the end of two...zanon trying to break out from behind his goal..falls down...loose puck in front...guy with a wide open slapper hits the crossbar and goes in...
now, unfortunately,we have a game going to the third...shame ads have absolutely dominated in zone time...and really limited their chances...but they've converted
Milwaukee carries a power play into the overtime, thanks to a strong move to the net by lundbohm drawing a penalty as time winds down in regulation...klein winds and fires a shot from straight on out between the circles, shot is just wide of the net, rebounds off the endboard stright to gamache who knocks it home on the ice to the glove side...admirals escape with a 3-2 OT win and move to within one point of chicago
i have to add....man do suter and klein both look good, especially stickhandling out front and being patient for a shot or the play to develop when they control the puck...klein three times tonight looked like a veteran out there on the point, including on the gamewinning goal assist
