Offers for Bobby Ryan ASSUMING he will be traded

From Vancouver:

Raymond, Bieksa, 2011 1st

Raymond replaces about 80% of the goals lost by Ryan's departure, and adds a speed element to the team. Bieksa can slot in on a relatively weak Ducks' defence as the #3 guy (behind Visnovsky and Lydman) and the 1st round pick will likely be in the 25-30 range.

It looks like Ryan and his agent are playing hardball with the Ducks, so they may have (note: i said have, and not want) to trade him. The Canucks get a premier power forward (ala Bertuzzi during the WCE days) to play alongside Kesler.

Hell no from the Ducks.

And Ryan is not a powerforward.

That package is not going to land Ryan. Nor does Van have the cap space to trade for him. As it is, we need to dump Bieksa without getting any cap back.

If he wants a huge short-term contract so he can cash in on free agency as soon as possible, why would you want to trade for the right to overpay him?

if he was to be traded it would be for a stud defender. suter, weber, staal. And if it wasn't for one of them, other teams could offer more then what you just did IMO.

But it doesnt matter because he loves it in anaheim. the issues have nothign to do with him not wanting to be here.

He has said that he does not want to make more then getzlaf, so he wants a 3 year contract so he will be up for a new contract at the same time as getz. so when getzlaf gets his 6.5+ contract bobby can argue that he is worth more then the 5 that they want to give him.

The ducks dont want to have to sign bobby getz and perry all in the same offseason.

they offered him a 4y 20 mil contract...if what you say is true why would he not take that and finish that 20 million contract on the last year of his UFA and leave? it makes me laugh how bad people make him look by talking out of their ass about players they have probably never even seen play... like the guy on this thread who says he is not a powerforward

Stoll? Ryan for a 2/3rd line center? Yikess! I'm hoping you meant Staal!

Depends on what Ryan wanted money-wise. $5 million? Definitely. $5.5 million? Probably still. No more than that though. It would be a coup for the Penguins though, and all the Staal worshippers would be amazed how fast they forgot about him after 25 games or so of Ryan playing with one of our centers.

FALSE!... they offered him a 5yr 25mil contract.. they offered him a 4yr deal that was less than 5per.. know your facts if you are going to call people out!

“We went to five years at $5 million a year, thinking that after what I heard him say last week that it would be very close,” Murray said. “We offered him a four-year deal at a lower number and they flat out turned that down as quick as you can say whatever you want to say.”

Bobby Ryan + Crosby would be the scariest pairing in the Atlantic. 50 goals for Ryan with Sid IMO.

no... so far you claimed he would be traded for stoll... and that he recieved a 4yr deal @ 5 per... so quite frankly your 2 wrongs don't equal a right!

I imagine that Anaheim will want at least one NHL player back in the deal. I think any package would have to be a top 6 forward or top 4 defenseman under 25 + prospects/picks to even it out.
