Are you interested in Zherdev?
A.Kost, Pouliot or Zherdev in your ideal top 6? Seems he's interested in coming back in the NHL and Bruins would be interested...

Well since all 3 are head cases, I would take Zherdev simply because he is the head case with the most talent out of the 3.

I would definatley take him into consideration. He'd come cheap and could add instant offence in a pinch. He's by far the most talented of the 3 you mentioned. He's also a big body in the top 6 and while he's not a power forward, he's hard to move off the puck and a right hand shot.
Headcase aside, he's been to Russia and sees it's not the best place to play. It's big money but feels like you're playing in the AHL.
I'd make a pitch and see if he's interested.
Pouliot - Gomez - Gio
Cammy - Plex - Zherdev
Moen - Eller - A. Kosty
Looks like a killer top 9 to me.

No more enigmatic , inconstant and moody Russians please. The guy is talented but just another headcase and we don't need this.
Same reason why i don't want Frolov and why i want to get rid of AK46. Enough of these slackers already.

Who is the guy, Chesnokov? He also says that
"It is confirmed that prospect Alexander Avtsin will spend the next season in the #Habs system."
Last I heard, Avtsin was staying in Russia for the next couple of years. You're the prospect guru, which is it?

I'd Love him here, I love his skill set, but hes shown hes not afraid to go to the KHL, and that he is somewhat of a head case. However I also think in our system with JM he wouldn't do so well. He needs a washington esque run and gun system to really get the best out of him, so I don't think he'd be of much use to us.

Bulis was paired with Mozyakin. Best Atlan player with 66 points. Zherdev's centerman was Novotny. The Jiri Novotny we saw in Buffalo and with the Jackets. Probably the reason why they paired themselves together.....doesn't mean Novotny is an offensive force though....Novotny or Gomez? Novotny or Pleks? Zherdev still ended up producing 4 less points in 4 less games. Bulis is also 6 years older. Though Zherdev got as much icetime, he wasn't necessarily paired with the greatest players.

I agree with this. Zherdev and defensive systems don't mesh well together.
I think Pittsburgh should take a look at him considering their lack of talent on the wings. I think he could mesh well with Malkin.
Either way as long as the Habs don't touch him i'll be happy.

You'll see in the "Avtsin at the dev. camp" thread that it was discussed already. This thread needs a title change for sure.

Zherdev probably isn't what Montreal is looking for.

Nah... out of those 3 Zherdev has the least amount of talent... wake up.
One is a 2 time 20 goal scorer, the other is a 4th round pick and in the NHL...
I'm not the least bit interested in Zherdev.

Absolutely not. I know someone who coached Zherdev. Zherdev had the most rotten and disrespectful attitude he had ever seen. They went to great lengths to try to accommodate the entitled punk but it was just a lost cause.
