My random thought is that this flooding is starting to get downright ridiculous (for those of us in the area)

it'd hit Titanic Stadium before it would hit Bridgestone ... it only got as far as 2nd/3rd Ave S yesterday ... I don't think it got any further

Actually, yes, it has hit Bridgestone according to posts elsewhere. I've never seen anything like this.

A little humor amongst all the tragedy in the past few days.

For those of you who love or hate the braves, or just dont care I thought this was pretty funny.

It's Mr. Adz and me on the teevee...or internets. Whatever. Not much of me, but more face time than I usually get on these things.

Nice, I wonder if they take this story arc and put it in the hijacked Iron Man movies?

Here are some thoughts.

1. Women don't understand themselves 90% of the time. How the hell are men supposed to understand them?

2. Why is it the men always have to say I'm sorry even when they are clearly not in the wrong?

It's outrageously hot here...95 degrees

DC weather has been hit by extremes...extreme heat the last few days and of course the blizzard last winter which shut the town down

Yeah I remember that blizzard. My sister in law's driveway is like 100 yards long and they were stuck at home for days.

But yeah, 95 is like an average summer day here in TN, lol

TN Labor Dept files lien on Sommet Group and 54 clients

Quote:
The company that once put its name on the Nashville arena has its reputation on the line.

Sommet Group boasts that it can make things easier for other companies by overseeing their payroll, tax and insurance issues but now, Sommet and 54 of its trusting customers are staring at a lien from the state.

Their name became a common term in Nashville because for years it stretched across the Sommet Center.

However, in January when the Sommet Group suddenly lost those naming rights, it raised questions about the Franklin based company.

On the Sommet group's website, it describes itself as an innovative company that handles the chores of payroll, billing, and insurance for smaller companies.

A representative on the website asks, “Wouldn't it be a lot more efficient to have a dedicated payroll person to make sure everyone gets paid on time and accurately?”

But apparently Sommet hasn't been paying their own bills.

On Friday, Jeff Hentschel of the Tennessee Department of Labor said, “They haven't paid their unemployment insurance for the first quarter, so that was due at the end of April” when asked about Sommet.

On Wednesday the Department of Labor filed a lien against the Sommet Group and while they didn't pay, neither did the 54 other companies Sommet represents.
http://www.wsmv.com/news/24129771/de...ontent=Twitter

TN Labor Department places a lien on the Sommet Group AND 54 clients who's payroll is managed by the Sommet Group for unpaid unemployment insurance premiums.

It sucks for the 54 companies that are being screwed by the Sommet Group, but man do I not feel sorry for the company or Brian Whitfield after all the trouble he caused for the Predators last year and for the fact that he stopped paying his bill on the naming rights to the arena...

I just checked and I use about a fifth the number of stamps I used just 2 years ago. That is amazing. The Post Office is going to have to change its focus--they can't make it doing what they've done in the past and stamps are quickly becoming a relic. So they can charge it, but I'll just find another way to send stuff.
