The Oilers are pretty empty with young prospects on the Blue line. What kind of young Dman would you give up? Serious offers only please

Hemsky's shoulder is fine, and it was his first injury. A total nonfactor at this point.

honestly, keep him. if he is so important to the team that his injury (and khabibulin's) brought the oilers to last place, it seems he would be worth more to edmonton than he would in a trade

It's been reported that his shoulder is very good! I think the Oilers are in need of a big Physical Defenceman. A offensive Dman wouldn't hurt either

He's had one serious injury in his entire career. I accept that he has durability issues but 'very injury prone' is a label we'll stick to Souray instead.

Youre kidding me if you think he;s only worth Bieksa.

It's not very often that a player plays the full 82 games in a season. It often has nothing to do with injuries though.
ie the flu

I'd strongly consider that from Edmonton's side!

Consider their return is Ales Hemsky, though. I wouldn't want Edmonton to even touch that deal.

In return for Hemsky we'd need at least one proven player.

No idea what he will be worth now. He's got 2 years left and if things don't start looking better I'd bolt if I were him.

So the obvious answer is Kaberle

He's stated that he's interested in participating in the rebuilding process in Edmonton. We'll keep our fingers crossed that he doesnt change his mind, but he's been a fan favorite here for a while and a pretty loyal guy.
