Hey guys,

I have a feeling that we are in for a long winter in Montreal. It's clear right now we can't score goals and when Koivu returns we will score more but I don't think Superman himself could generate offense with the system this team plays.

We have some great invidiual skill but unfortunetly they all have a leash around their necks.

I say if we are going to watch the Habs lose 40-45 games this season I say they at least give us a show and lose in style.

By style I mean entertaining.

I would much rather watch our talent develop offensively and lose 5-4 all season long then have Hossa and Higgins progress stalled by playing a boring style of hockey.

Just my two bits, what ya think?

Holy crap. That's along the same lines I just wrote in the "Claude Julien staying?" thread.

Basicly I think we should try and build a system around our players... and with the players we have, I think we should go for a fast-paced full-of-skill game, especially with the fact that we have such a solid goaltender behind them. Let's build a system around our players, instead of trying to fit our players into a system.

Thanks but no thanks. I'd rather see Gainey do his job and build this team for the present AND future. I still question his siding with Brisebois this week.
