He is a great AHL player but doesn't have the skating skills to play be effective in the NHL, and it hurts his defensive game. He has a great offensive skill set however and has always racked up points. It would be interesting to see what he could do with at least a few games in the NHL, he has only played one NHL game.
Locke should just be given a few games to show what he's made of. He's been a great scorer everywhere he's played. I mean, it's unlikely he becomes an NHL player, but I think it's worth a look for a team that won't make the playoffs this year.
