Chris Campoli

I Actually like Campoli a lot, I felt he was one of our better players in the 2nd half of the season and playoffs.

Looks like most of fellow sens fans would like to see Lee or Cowen take his spot..

So is he worth anything to you guys...

Are team is pretty well complete..so draft pick wise or prospects is what we would need.

I think he might be a good option for the leafs, assuming they trade Kaberle. He is an RFA so will come in around 1-1.2, making him a good guy to fill in on the last pairing.

I think he could be had for a prospect, since the Sens don't need a warm body.

Does Ottawa even want him back? Garrioch wrote last week Ottawa could look to deal Campoli or Lee before training camp.

http://www.ottawasun.com/sports/colu.../14580071.html

With Campoli filing for arbitration, they could walk away from the award. Accepting it and trading him won't be easy.

Can he play a consistent second-pairing role? If Wiz gets too much money from arbitration and Ducks let him walk, Campoli sounds like a cheap-to-acquire guy.

I would say he should be a bottom pairing guy only. He could fill in on the second pairing if need be, but that would probably be pretty telling of the team having a weak D corps. He battles hard though, no doubt about that.

A 30-40 point 23 year old centre for a defenceman that can't even protect himself in the playoffs, hell yeah.

1. We have enough roster players, not including the prospects coming up.
2. Ryan Shannon
3. I like Campoli

haha ryan shannon...

Trade Campoli and Shannon for Cogs... he can play LW and has top 6 potential.

Regin,Cogs,Ruutu,Foligno would be pretty solid on the left side considering our strength at C (Spezza, Fisher, Kelly, Winchester) and RW (Alfie, Michalek, Kovalev, Neil). I'd pit that forward group against any in the league... it could use a bit more sandpaper, but it's not like Campoli or Shannon will be providing any..

Posters outside the Sens board please ignore this as it is not true.

Campoli is very underrated on the Sens boards. He'd be in our top 4 if it wasn't for one of Kuba or Karlsson.

Solid puck moving defenceman with a good shot. He played very well in the playoffs including stepping up his game defensively and physically as well.

Camopoi is a solid 3rd pairing puck moving defenceman that can play on the pp and step into the top 4 if necessary...

Cogliano can't play centre, he lacks the hockey sense to do so effecitively. He's a better winger.

I'll keep the 25 year old 25+ point defenceman over the 30 point 2nd/3rd line tweener. Defenceman are much more valuable then forwards...

Cogliano's point production has steadily decreased each and every year for the past 3 years. It's going to do the same this year as well.

Another downside of Cogliano is that he lacks the skill and production necessary to be in the top 6, but lacks the size and defensive play to be in the bottom 6.

He's a tweener and tweener's are useless imo...

I've said it a million times. The faster Campoli gets off this team, the faster I can put a smile on my face.

It would be a really awful move to dump our defensive depth. We'll just end up trading more picks for guys like Sutton at the deadline once injuries inevitably happen. Why not just keep around some cheap NHL capable defenseman? Campoli-Carkner is a great value third pairing. Oh wait, let's just rush our young defensemen... Nothing could go wrong there. Could it?
