This is the weirdest draft ever.

Here's the list of all eligible players

A grand total of... 56 guys. The draft is 10 rounds and there are 7 teams, for a total of 70 picks. MAB got selected with pick #... 69.

Every single eligible player was selected... what the hell?

if he won't get taken by an nhl team we would be stupid not to get him after his injury at league minimum.. make him only play on the PP and nothing else

but an nhl team with a horrible PP will take him at that point if we don't.. We wouldn't have made the playoffs with our mediocre powerplay before he arrived

I don't know much about this league, but it sounds hilarious.

I posted on the main board that the NHL should add a few more rounds to the draft so they could get PR gag type picks like this. Maybe this league liked my idea. I had never even heard of this league until this thread.

Hilarious?! It's actually a really solid league right now. Take a look at some of the rosters. You have players like junior lessard, a recent hobey baker winner. It's not the same league as it was 10 years ago trust me. A lot of players with very solid major junior and college careers play in it while continuing their education or starting a career in another field. Not to mention that the money isn't bad at all for some of the top end players. I heard through the grapevine that mathieu raby pulled in close to 100k this year. Hilarious would be you trying to last one shift in the league, not the league itself.

Sounds just strange to have companies put their names on a hockey team. But it happens everywhere in the world. New York Red Bull is one example.
