The youth movement may have begun. Murray has been clearing out bodies and he did not sign a top pairing defenseman, which they desperately needed.

If this is so, the Oilers just picked up a center. At 725k for one year, no way Tambo passes on him. Sounds too good to be true. Perhaps this is part of a deal with the Oilers, knowing they have first selection. Good physical role player. I still don't believe this.

Cool it babycakes, I know exactly who Carter is. I also know that this is the exact type of player the Oiler's GM is looking for at the moment. If Carter is waived I bet it's part of a deal involving the two clubs. Carter has real value, you could move him for a draft pick or prospect any time you wanted to. I still don't believe this until I see some confirmation.

Lets just see how this plays out. I have no grand illusions of this player. I know exactly what he is, and exactly what role he plays. Don't pretend you would be happy to see him go or other teams wouldn't be happy to get him. Not putting words in your mouth... just this is a good role player that many clubs would be happy to get. As far as role players hitting the wire, this is as good as it gets. Still waiting for a link.
