25 minutes a game playing center!? Makes me tired just thinking about it.
Anyone who plays hockey knows that centers generally have to work the hardest, defensively and offensively. If he excelled playing that many minutes then im sure he would do fine playing 2nd line center minutes or maybe even 1st.

Yea, i think Gagner can become a 1st line centre, but hes more likely to become a 2nd line centre. I always called him the next Mike Comrie. Which isn't a diss, Comrie was a good player, and Sammy may end up with some celeb lol

kid is only 20...say that when hes 25. look at getzlaf, spezza, koivu all those big point producing 1st line centers never broke out until age 22-23

exaclty. Any way, I don't know how he turns out. However I have no problem saying his upside is number 1 C all day. Whether he reaches that or not, I dunno.
I got a chuckle. Good stuff. In all honesty though, I could really care less about proper spelling on the internet, it's not about that, it's just... we're Americanized enough as it is... I like the idea of preserving the last few "unique" things we have left. Canadian i.e. British English spelling is something, whether people acknowledge or not - that sets a distinction between us and them. I grew up being taught that way and for me it's a little pet peeve, that's all. Like when I hear people say "zee" rather than "zed" for instance (Sesame Street FTL)...

While we're on the topic, why do you say you COULD really care less? Everyone could care less about everything really, so whats the point of saying about it for anything in particular.
Shouldnt it be 'I couldnt care less'? That statement means that you have reached the maximum of not caring.
This is only center position at hockey, you guys make it sound like it's emergency rocket surgery through a wormhole or something... Very few centers @ 18 entering the league don't get destroyed defensively, nothing to be panicking about missing some assignments shaping him back into that role... You expecting a SCF or something?
Exactly. Let the kid try it out over the next few seasons and see how he does at the NHL level in both LW and C positions. No one can say what position he'll be best at except Hall and where the coaches want/need him.
