A former Kelowna Rocket defenceman to replace a former Kelowna Rocket defenceman (Yonkman).

Aside from the fact Matheson I believe is a UFA currently, (and thought Ford was, but Aaron Sims claims otherwise), that looks pretty accurate and I think that should be a stellar D.

If NOTHING changes in either Milwaukee or Nashville. Both teams are looking pretty good. Hell, I said the Ads have the talent to beat 3 of 5 of next year's lottery teams.

One thing that really strikes my eye is in that group of 7, with the exception of Josi (only as I haven't seen him), none of them take many penalties. (Half of Ford's 84 PIM were fighting majors last year)

Now if only Kelsey Wilson wasn't there.

Well, he won't be getting much time with Halischuk, Geoffrion, the Santorellis', Klasen, Thang, Bourque, Lajunen, Thuresson, and Spaling in the ranks.

Captain both in Kelowna and Abbottsford. Will provide leadership for the Ads. Injured last season, so a bit under the radar.

I remembered where I saw Palin before. He was a member of the 2008-09 AHL All-Star team. I believe he competed in and did pretty well with the hardest shot competition.

Looking forward to seeing what type of potential he has come training camp...

Edit: Nope, looked it up. The reason I remember him from the hardest shot competition was that his was the 2nd weakest overall at 89.3 mph. Franson was second hardest at 95.4 mph. Derek Joslin (SJ) won the competition.

Palin is not a player designed for an All-Star game. He is a simple defensive-defenseman. Milwaukee will be pretty solid this year...

This team may well bring the Calder back. And boy a couple years there for a few of these guys is gonna be sweet in Nashville....

I also think Chet will be in net this year with your guy backing up Pekka here.

Depending on how Poile thins out the ranks over the next few weeks, Spaling could very well be headed to Milwaukee to start the year. He still has a lot to prove...his offensive game has been seriously lacking since turning pro...

Offensive game lacking or not, I still would rather see Spaling out there for us rather than Smithson.
