StapeNewsday

Eminger is 26, Ducks were his 5th NHL team... #NYRangers need veteran D depth, and Voros wasn't in the plans.

StapeNewsday

Eminger signed through next season, $1.125m cap hit.

Awesome deal. Man Voros regrets the day he found Twitter.

If he's the nail in the coffin for Redden I'm very glad (he could be insurance neither McD nor Valentenko are ready). But even if not Hillier couldn't even stay in the AHL consistantly and Voros is hardly a loss. So I'm down with this deal.

I saw him in Florida...he'll score a couple meaningful goals, and get bounced wike a widdle baby around for about 98% of his ice time.

Last type of player we need here. I would even take another Redden in hope of a double negative...

what is the cap hit? We can now bury Eminger to the pack ? maybe save some cap space.

I don't consider this deal "big" in any way, and I don't see how it could set up a bigger thing (We don't get any cap relief)

Well this puts us at 13F and 6D under contract with Staal still waiting. I'm not a fan of this player, and while it moves Voros out it also doesn't give Sather any cap space (actually a small addition). Doesn't really seem like a domino to me, but I have no idea what's going on.

Cap hit 1.5 so we actually go up in the cap. Could we be looking to move a Rosival now?

Eminger is fine for a 7th D. We've needed one for 2 years so I'm not complaining.

And if it means the end of Redden, all the better.

$1.125M. $125K more than Voros.

At least he's a guy you can use.

could the domino be the end of Roszival as well? One could hope...even though he's the lesser of two evils by far.

I didn't mind Voros he is what he is. A 12/13th type forward. But with signing Boogaard and bringing back Prust his days as a ranger were numbered. Eminger sucks though I guess he becomes the 7th defensemen they were looking to get.
