Huet makes 5 million. Maybe I just made an unnecessary leap of faith there. Felt like a dig. Maybe not. I just like drama.

If you read further, cook is the one mentioning Chicago, not Shero.

Good thing you didn't give up Kaberle. That would be too much considering your getting a top player and a first rounder for him

Yea, I know that. I'm only referring to part I quoted. I don't know of any other team that had to/or will have to bury a 5MM player in the minors. I made the leap to the Chicago conclusion independent of the writers next paragraph.

Like I said, I was probably manufacturing drama where there was none.

This worked before, try it again.

Primeau

Stuart

Maybe, just maybe, toss in a conditional pick.

I did back in June.

Both teams avoid salary cap problems in this scenario. If you don't want to load up on goalies you can sub Kuznetsov or Johansson for Varlmov. Or really you can sub any Caps prospect other than Carlson.

EDIT: Oops, the draft is over. Change that to 2011 1st and 2012 1st.

This is very fair trade. I would say Pens need to add a bit.

We don't need him in Detroit at all but just for the sake of entertrainment:

Zetter
Franzen
1st

that would be more than enough to get him but we'll never do that.
